I'm also thinking of starting a newletter. I'm usually so busy with my art that I would like to share it with you. Not that I'm any more important than anyone else, but to me it's another creative outlet.
I have just submitted my application to Artwalk 2015. I'm really excited to hopefully be selected to have my own booth in the show. I will also be showing with the Kelowna Painters Studio Society group, which I head up. I have been getting some new larger work together for the show which I hope will be favourably received. I will also have the paintings that have earned awards since Artwalk last year.
I will also be showing with this group for their Art in the Garden one-day show this August. It's always an exciting show and I certainly look forward to being part of that.
I am also applying for a members show at the Rotary Centre For the Arts here in town. It's only one of two opportunities that I have of showing locally.
The other being the local FCA chapter's OASIS show which is part of an annual symposium that they host. I have been juried into their show and getting ready to deliver the two paintings to their venue.
I'm also using Facebook more, but still haven't figured out how to share this post to it. So I do it this way and post new work on facebook as it's finished.
I'm getting ready for summer. A couple of friends of my sister's are coming up at the end of next month from Washington state. We will entertain them well including a winery tour, then my sister and I will drive them home. They will entertain us with a sight-seeing trip of Seattle and a visit to Pike's Place Market. I've never been to Seattle so I'm really looking forward to that. I'm hoping to get many street scenes as reference photos on the trip.
So that's what's going on in my world at this point in time. I will spend the rest of the day in the studio getting another large floral done so it can get posted. Till next time.......
I am new at this blog business, but I want to share what I am doing with you. I will add my activities as they happen and show you what I do each day. And, hopefully, I'll get some painting done.
