Colleen J Dyson SCA
artist
Colleen J Dyson has been painting full-time for about eight years.
Initially painting landscapes in watercolour and looking for a niche for herself, she decided to explore other subject matter and media. She started painting Still Life and Florals in oils and acrylic as these media better suited her temperament as well as her painting style. Colleen's attention to detail and the ability to paint what she "sees" has given her the confidence to take risks and to accept challenges that others might avoid.
Colleen has won awards at both the national and international levels, with her work being published in the Federation of Canadian Artists magazine, Art Avenues, and the Artwalk 2007 catalogue. She was also pleased to have recently been selected as an Elected Member of the Society of Canadian Artists.
Her work has been exhibited in Kelowna, Winfield, Vernon, Armstrong, Kamloops, Salmon Arm, Osoyoos, Penticton, Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal, in Oregon state, and is available for exhibit and sale.
Her work hangs in private and corporate collections in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K., and is represented by the Evans Fischer Gallery in Kelowna, BC.
